About our client
Our client is a large Australian meat manufacturing company. They are looking to recruit an exceptional Maintenance Fitter with restricted electrical license (preferred) on permanent basis.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include providing quality maintenance service in the plant which includes preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, improvement of machine performance and other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager
You will also be responsible for
- Diagnose and correct faults including complex faults.
- Adhere to engineering and operational standards, and OHS policies and guidelines.
- Carry out both corrective and preventative maintenance with a view to maximising machine performance.
- Ensure all plant maintenance and material maintenance transactions are recorded
- Ability to work in rotating shifts when required
- Demonstrated welding, fitting and turning experience (for the maintenance fitter role)
- Follow electrical drawings and carry out basis electrical troubleshooting.
Skills Required
To be successful you will need
- Mechanical Trade qualifications for the maintenance fitter role
- Restricted electrical license preferred but not mandatory
- Strong experience in the identification and correction of equipment related faults is desirable
- Experience in Food manufacturing environment is mandatory (Meat manufacturing preferred)
- Willingness to work in cold environments
- Demonstrate analytical, problem solving skills in electrical or mechanical systems
- Experience in plant maintenance, preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance is must
